Sunset Club

The Sunset Club is a day service for the older person which uses a partnership approach to respect the right of each service user to have choice in the provision of the services they enjoy. It also encourages and enhances personal independence and autonomy.

The club actively encourages the involvement of volunteers, for example The Legion of Mary, local musicians and artists. It provides and fosters a sense of community through membership of senior citizens clubs, art clubs and the library. Social outings are also arranged.

Sunset provides an integrated pre-retirement programme that aims to ease the transition from a work based lifestyle to one that is more leisure based. The club provides creative, diverting and recreational activities that are suited to the needs of the older person.
